Sweet Billy Pilgrim have just unveiled the video for ‘Archaeology’, the second single from their hugely acclaimed new album ‘Crown And Treaty’. Shot and edited by renowned TV writer and director Julian Simpson, it features the actress (and winner of Masterchef), Lisa Faulkner and was made for the remarkable sum of just £85.00.
Reflecting the themes of the song, it’s a stark, black and white piece focussed on the ghosts that haunt us. As frontman Tim Elsenburg reveals of the song, “It’s the mission statement of what the album is about, you bury things and then dig them up again. It’s all about the ghosts of the past.”
Sweet Billy Pilgrim have just been announced as additions to the Latitude Festival, playing the Film & Music Arena stage on Friday 13th July at 8pm. They precede this performance with a headline show at London’s Bush Hall on July 11th.
