Sir Paul McCartney Donates Signed Guitar For Nordoff Robbins Charity

Sir Paul McCartney is donating a signed guitar to go up for auction for Nordoff Robbins for the second time. Last time he did this in 2007, the guitar was sold for £60,000 - let's hope that this year we can raise a similar amount!

Sir Paul McCartney has been a long-time supporter of the Nordoff Robbins charity and this year is generously donating an exclusive signed Hofner bass violin guitar to auction and raise money for the life changing music therapy charity. The Guitar will be auctioned at the annual O2 Silver Clef Event that raises money for Nordoff Robbins at the Hilton, Park Lane, on June 29th. To bid for the one-off McCartney signed guitar, you can do so by phone or in person. For more derails please visit - www.nordoff-robbins.org.uk

Speaking about the auction, Sir Paul said: "I am delighted to have signed and donated this very special left-handed Hofner bass in order to raise funds for Nordoff Robbins. They work they do with music therapy transforms the lives of vulnerable children and adults across the UK, and I hope the sale of this guitar raises lots of money! Rock on!"

It has also been announced that Fatboy Slim is set for the Ivestec Icon Award and Manic Street Preachers for the Hard Rock Cafe Ambassadors of Rock Award.

Manic Street Preachers say on their Ambassadors Of Rock Award: “We feel privileged and honoured to be recognised with our Hard Rock Cafe ‘Ambassadors of Rock Award’ at this year’s O2 Silver Clefs in support of Nordoff Robbins, especially for doing something that we love and respect so much. Thank You Nordoff Robbins.”

The list of attendees for the O2 Silver Clef next Friday is looking as impressive as ever with Jessie J, Andrew Lloyd Webber, Emeli Sande, Conor Maynard, Tinie Tempah, Tom Jones, Michael Buble, Laura Wright, Fatboy Slim and Manic Street Preachers with still have more to come!
