The head of the troubled Isle of Wight Festival, which has been barraged by rain, mud, and traffic problems, has apologised to the thousands of fans who’ve been left stranded and soaked - and promised to refund anyone who sends their tickets back to him.
We reported earlier today that the infamous Isle of Wight Festival had been flooded, following reports that fans had been sleeping in their cars or leaving the festival altogether. There’s also been nightmares for ferry users too, as heavy traffic has left people literally unable to get off the boats. You can check out an aerial view of the mud-baths here.
Now, following the widespread media coverage of the swamped-out festival, Isle of Wight head John Giddings has publicly apologised for the horrendous weather and terrible conditions in which festival-goers will have to stay, should they wish to troop through the three-day event.
Check out Gidding’s apology here.
