Muse To Premiere New Single On Zane Lowe's BBC Radio 1 Show

Electronic rock titans Muse are understood to be premiering their brand new single on Zane Lowe’s BBC Radio 1 show Wednesday evening (27th June) at 7:30pm, three months before their dubstep-tinged new album ‘The 2nd Law’ is set to hit shelves.
*UPDATED* The song will be an anthemic and inspiring rock track, entitled 'Survival', which will be the official song for the London 2012 Olympics which take place later this summer. It follows on from the album trailer which Muse revealed earlier this month.
The track is expected to have some kind of story behind it, and could be one of two tracks from the stadium-filling rockers that’ll feature on the London Olympics' official playlist - meaning it could be played throughout the £27million opening ceremony, and the whole of the Olympic games.

Muse’s new album ‘The 2nd Law’ is their sixth studio album and is set to hit shelves on September 17th. They started work on the record in September 2011 and have since told Kerrang! that it’d be ‘something radically different’, and that they’d be ‘drawing a line under a certain period’ - something which was evident in the new album trailer, which you can see below.
Tomorrow night will be the first preview of a full new single from the trio, so we’ll have to wait until then to find out just how different the album and 2012 Muse sound really is. Stay with Stereoboard for more Muse updates in the future.
