Paloma Faith Adds New 2013 UK Tour Dates

Soul singer-songwriter Paloma Faith has announced further dates for her 2013 UK tour today, and will play an extra seven dates across the country - including shows in Cardiff and Sheffield.

The 2013 tour follows on from a number of summer dates the singer has performed this year and is now one of her biggest tours to date. The 17-date trip kicks off on January 21st 2013 in Dublin, where Faith will perform at Vicar Street, before heading off for gigs in Manchester’s O2 Apollo, Nottingham’s Royal Concert Hall, Newcastle’s O2 Academy, and many more. She’ll round off the trip with a big performance at Cambridge’s Corn Exchange, which takes place on February 17th. Tickets for the extra dates are set to go onsale this Friday (13th July) at 9am – check below for the full dates and details.

Paloma Faith wrote and recorded new album ‘Fall to Grace’ in London in through this year and last. The album has been produced by legendary producer Nellee Hooper (who’s worked with the likes of Bjork, No Doubt, Massive Attack, and Madonna), and is the follow-up to Paloma’s debut album ‘Do You Want The Truth or Something Beautiful?’, which was released in 2009. The album sold over half a million copies and spawned the hit singles ‘Stone Cold Sober’, ‘New York’, ‘Do You Want the Truth or Something Beautiful?’ and ‘Upside Down’.

Speaking of the new album, Paloma said: “The new album has taken on a very cinematic mood. ‘Picking up the Pieces’ is no exception. It deals with the issues of being in a relationship with someone who is still recovering from a previous relationship with another person. It is a song about self-doubt and insecurity. I am very excited to introduce my new sound into the world. Working with Nellee Hooper has been really inspirational."
