Swedish Metallers Katatonia Announce December UK Tour & Tickets

Swedish metal five-piece Katatonia have announced a series of live dates for their 'Dead Ends of Europe' UK tour this December.

Katatonia will tour the UK following their September 'Epic Kings & Idols Tour' across the US. Katatonia will team-up with Devin Townsend Project for a co-headlining North American run featuring Paradise Lost as direct support and Stolen Babies as openers.

In May Katatonia announced that their ninth studio album, titled 'Dead End Kings,' will be released in the UK on 27th August. Speaking about the album's title, vocalist Jonas Renkse commented: "Dead End Kings is about the corridors of our mind from where there is no return. Be a king or queen in your own right in these hallways, even at the dead end. Carry your burden with pride. That’s what we are doing, twenty years and counting. Kings, because we believe in what we are creating, in our own disturbing faith."

Their US 'Epic Kings & Idols Tour' will see the band promoting the album in the States before unleashing the new material on UK soil in December. Lead guitarist Anders Nyström comments: "We are very much looking forward to a tour that definitely stands out from the rest. Stare into November's darkness with us! Be with us at the side of December's deathbed! Come meet us at the chosen dead ends of Europe...”
