Run DMC To Perform At Texas' Fun Fun Fun Festival For First Show In 10 Years

After a 10-year hiatus, the remaining members of legendary rap group Run DMC are reuniting to headline the Fun Fun Fun festival in Texas this November in what will be a MUST-SEE event for rap and hip-hop fans.

The world-famous rappers, known for tracks such as ‘It’s Like That’, ‘It’s Tricky’, and ‘My Adidas’, will perform at the Fun Fun Fun Festival in Austin., Texas, which takes place on November 1st-3rd. It’ll be the pair of rapper’s first performance since 2002 - when their long-time bandmate, DJ, and friend Jason ‘Jam-Master Jay’ Mizell was shot and killed at his recording studio in Queens.

The performance will go down in history and hopefully could spark a number of comeback shows for the rap group, but nothing has been confirmed as of yet. Run DMC have been named as the ‘Greatest Hip-Hop Group of All Time’ on many occasions, most notably by MTV in 2007. Eminem also inducted them into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2009 - making them just the second hip-hop group to ever enter the hall of fame, after Grandmaster Flash.

Check back to Stereoboard for future updates on the band, and to find out whether they’ll be playing any more shows in the near future - possibly in the UK.
