Mick Hucknall has announced his ‘American Soul’ UK and Ireland tour for April 2013. His first ever solo tour. Mick Hucknall Tickets are on sale from 9am on Friday 27th July.
The new shows hail the beginning of a new chapter for ex-Simply Red frontman Hucknall after the final curtain fell on Simply Red at their triumphant sell-out Farewell Tour in December 2010.
The new shows will see Mick showcasing his forthcoming new solo album ‘American Soul’, which features his own take on classic songs which have inspired him throughout his life. The tour also follows in the wake of Mick's in-demand preview shows at London's Royal Albert Hall on September 18th and September 19th 2012.
Having already had global hits with 'Money’s Too Tight To Mention', 'If You Don’t Know Me By Now' and 'You Make Me Feel Brand New', the start of Hucknall’s solo career gives him free rein to record his favourites from his own personal journey through the American soul genre including classics songs such as 'I Only Have Eyes For You', 'I’d Rather Go Blind' and 'That’s How Strong My Love Is'.
