Palma Violets Questioned By Liverpool Police After Breaking Into Helter-Skelter

Up and coming London band Palma Violets had a rather rock ‘n’ roll (or rock ‘n’ slide?) run in with the police on Wednesday night - after they found themselves surrounded by policemen because they’d broken into a helter-skelter in Liverpool city centre.

The band were in the city as they’d been performing a gig - which has seen their Facebook page filled with good reviews - in the Leaf venue, but found themselves rather bored afterwards. So, after a few drinks, the boys decided to take a walk around the town - and came face to face with the George Irvin Helter Skelter.

Despite it being closed off the to the general public, the boys thought they deserved a bit of fun after working hard for their performance earlier in the day, and decided to hop the fences surrounding the slide. Some time and a 70 foot climb later, the band found themselves on top of the shut-down slide - and soon enough, surrounded by police.

After being taken away for questioning, the lads were later released seemingly without any punishment - completing what was a simultaneously rock ‘n’ roll and totally not-rock ‘n’ roll night for the band. They now go on to complete their handful of UK live dates - for tickets to any of their shows, check the dates and details below.
