Pure Love - Handsome Devil's Club (Single Review)

Almost predictably, Frank Carter's first project since Gallows is not a hardcore project. At all. 'Handsome Devils Club' sounds surprisingly accomplished considering it is influenced by The Smiths in both name and sound (Hear 'Handsome Devil' by the famous Mancunian band).

Hearing Carter without his trademark bark is admittedly disconcerting on first listen, but whilst Pure Love's first single is not anything groundbreaking, it serves as the sort of ear-worm material that might reel in a few casual listeners to Zane Lowe and the like. And if you don't dig it? Gallows are still going, you know.

'Handsome Devil's Club' by Pure Love is out now.
