Deap Vally Announce Details Of Debut UK Tour & UK Festival Dates

Deap Vally have just confirmed their first ever UK tour for later this year. The LA duo, comprising Lindsey Troy and Julie Edwards, made their debut in London last month to great acclaim, and are now set to return for a full run, with headline dates and festival shows around the country.

Bringing rock-hard grit and all-girl soul from the San Fernando Valley, Deap Vally is the howl of Troy and the rhythm of Edwards. Together, the duo break blues down to its simplest, most fundamental form: beat, melody, and meaning, while their scorching live shows are fast becoming the stuff of legend.

Deap Vally first met at a needlework class last year. Bonding over their crochet hooks with a love of the blues, first demos and videos of the girls’ live shows have been cropping up online with increasing frequency over the past few months - they’ve even caught the ears of one Josh Homme, whose Eagles of Death Metal invited the girls to open for them in LA.

Following the release of their debut single, 'Gonna Make My Own Money' (Ark Recordings), and first clutch of shows last month, Deap Vally return to the UK for dates in August and September.

Deap Vally 2012 UK Live Dates are as follows:

Aug 22nd - London, Tamesis Dock (Communion Records Night)

Aug 26th - Reading, Festival
