Tom Waits Unveils 'Hell Broke Luce' Video - Dashing Hopes Of 'Coming August 7th' Tour Announcement

Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Tom Waits has unveiled a brand new music video for the track ‘Hell Broke Luce’, a track taken from his his 2011 album ‘Bad as Me’.

Last week we revealed that Tom Waits would be making a big announcement on August 7th. Well, here we are on August 7th - or what fans have labelled as ‘Christmas except with Tom Waits’, ‘Tom Waits Tour Announcement Day’ or, most outlandishly, ‘the day when Tom Waits reveals he will headline the London 2012 Olympics ceremony.

Well, actually, the huge announcement was actually for a music video, and it’s not even from a highly-rumoured new album, it’s taken from last year’s ‘Bad as Me’. Although it’s a rather entertaining video - which you can check out below - the announcement didn’t really live up to expectations.

Some sites had rumoured that the announcement was, in fact, going to be for a new record - this site seemed to have posted a leaked image of the back cover of the record, which they said is titled ‘Don’t Bring a Gun to a Knife Fight’. But, a google search of the barcode on the back brings back an interesting result - the barcode seems to actually belong to a Bulgarian make of double ended dildo. Remember, never bring a dildo to a knife fight.

The most believed rumours were that he’d be announcing a tour, which was welcome news to any fans ears, who are desperate to catch the star live. But, while this wasn’t the subject of today’s announcement, speculation is still high that something will be announced soon - so stay with Stereoboard to stay up-to-date.

In the meantime, check out the video below - and let us know what you think of the announcement in the comments section below.
