Japandroids Announce UK Dates

Canadian rock duo Japandroids have announced four UK tour dates, as part of their four month world tour.

The band, consisting of frontman Brian King and drummer David Prowse, will hit up London’s Heaven on October 26th, before travelling to Manchester, Sheffield, and Birmingham for gigs on the 27th, 29th, and 30th respectively.

The tour follows the release of their second studio album ‘Celebration Rock’, which came out in June, and will see them performing a mix of tracks from the new record and their critically acclaimed debut ‘Post-Nothing’.

‘Celebration Rock’ was produced by Jesse Gander and has been called ‘one of the year's most thrilling rock records’ by Rolling Stone and ‘a rock record for the ages’ by Pitchfork. Critics across the globe have unanimously agreed with that, and the album has also been shortlisted for the prestigious Polaris Prize in their native Canada too.

Japandroids have also debuted their first music video for their single 'The House That Heaven Built'. The video finds director Jim Larson traveling with the band on their last tour, filming at sold out shows in Toronto, Montreal, Boston, NYC, Brooklyn, DC and their life on the road in between. You can check out the video below.

You can check out Japandroid’s UK tour dates below - tickets go onsale this Friday (August 17th).

Japandroids UK and Ireland tour dates are as follows:

26th October - London, Heaven
