Swn Festival Organisers Announce More Acts

Organisers of Sŵn Festival have announced the second wave of acts who will be performing at this year’s event, which promises to be the biggest and most ambitious yet in its 6 year-history.

Since 2007, Cardiff has played host to the annual festival, bringing some of the newest and most exciting local, national and international acts to the Welsh capital. Whilst still focusing on new and emerging acts, Sŵn Festival 2012 will also play host to some well established headline acts, as well as broadening the programme to include arts-based fringe events.

Amongst the new names added are The Staves, Two Wounded Birds, We Are Animal, Pulled Apart by Horses, Toy, Echo Lake, and Push and Run DJs - you can find a full list below. They join already announced acts such as Gallows, Django Django, Charlotte Church, Liars, Manhattan Coast, Errors, Turbowolf, Dry the River, and dozens more. You can check a full line-up and a schedule of the days they’re playing on the Sŵn website.

Along with the line-up announcements, it’s been revealed that this year - for the first time ever - a limited number of Earlybird tickets for Sŵn Festival 2012 will go onsale. You can purchase yours now - they’re going via a first come first served basis, and a full 4-day Earlybird wristband will cost you £60. Single day Earlybird wristbands vary between £15 and £26, depending on the day.
