Richard Hawley Announces New Single 'Seek It' & One-Off Show With The BBC Philharmonic Orchestra

One of the more tender moments from the album, 'Seek It' is a questing, wistful love song with Hawley’s gift for crafting a beautiful melody clearly on display. It’s simple, cyclical chord sequence underpins a wry lyric where the protagonist has a weird dream, has his fortune misread and urges the person of his desires, “if you seek it you won't find another's eyes so blinded by love." The song is Hawley at his most lilting and poetic.
'Seek It' will be available as a digital download and as the third release through the Richard Hawley Singles Club (also available from all good music retailers), on limited edition 10” vinyl b/w brand new track 'Big Sister' (also available as a download). Hawley will be playing a very special, one-off concert with the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra in Sheffield on September 8th, which will go out live on BBC 6Music. The concert will feature career-spanning material reworked by Hawley and orchestrated and conducted by Joe Duddell. Further information and ticket details can be found at www.bbc.co.uk/orchestras
