The full cast list for the UK’s first ever arena tour of Jesus Christ Superstar has been unveiled online.
West End and Broadway leading man Alex Hanson takes on the role of ‘Pilate’, joining Tim Minchin, Melanie C, Chris Moyles and ITV Superstar winner Ben Forster in the rock musical which opens on 21st September at London’s The O2 arena before embarking on a 21-date arena tour across the UK and Ireland.
The full cast, which can be found here, also includes Superstar finalists Jeff Anderson and Tim Prottey-Jones who will appear in the ensemble.
For the first time in the history of musical theatre, 60,000 people will see Andrew Lloyd Webber’s legendary rock classic Jesus Christ Superstar Jesus Christ Superstar in its opening week. The arena tour, which visits some of the country's biggest arenas in September and October, has already sold in excess of 100,000 tickets and generated advance box office sales of over £5 million.
