Indie-rock singer Florence Welch - frontwoman of award-winning band Florence and the Machine - has confessed she’s already thought ahead to her next album, despite previously saying that she’d been taking at least a year out of the music scene.
Just last week, Welch revealed that she had a ‘take-a-year-off plan’, and that the her record company had offered her as much time off as she needed before moving onto her next album - the follow-up to last year’s chart-topping ‘Ceremonials’.
But, speaking to Spinner, Welch admitted that she can’t keep her mind off of making music - and has a whole album written out in her head.
“I've been thinking about it a lot,” she told the site. “I think I've written a whole album in my head.”
She went on to talk about the differences between her first record ‘Lungs’ and their last ‘Ceremonials’, suggesting that their could be further changes when she eventually puts out a third.
“I think the first record was desperate for something and clawing for things. Ceremonials was clawing internally, more towards myself than longing for someone. It was more of a battle inside as opposed to attacking something outside.”
