Under The Influence Announce 'Kings And Cretins' Details

Norfolk-based rap-rockers Under the Influence have announced details of new mini-album 'Kings & Cretins', due out October 1st.

Under the Influence started working on their second mini album back in November 2011, with the aim to create something unique and unfamiliar to people’s ears, combining genres such as dubstep, rock, and rap. They wanted to write lyrics which not only meant something to the band, but were something people could relate too - and the lads are confident that they’ve recorded an album that features just that.

The band are very excited about the impending release, and drummer Jay has commented: “We can’t wait for October 1st. We just want to get the album out there. It’s something we all believe in. Those 7 tracks mean something to us and we think they will mean something to our audience. They really hit home. They're relatable. And honestly, we've raised our game... and we're going to keep raising it! Because we're here to stay....”

He continues to describe the hard work behind the new album: "Working with Romesh Dodangoda, really brought the best out of us as a band. We spent a long time on demos and writing, aware that we needed to grow from the previous release ‘Bad Habits Die Hard’ but that was never an issue.

“The music has grown as we have as a band and I think we've really laid something down that we are so proud of, and with Romesh, behind the desk the album is of the highest quality and just sounds incredible! Now we have the complete package back with artwork from John Barmby, we are all ready to go and take this one to the masses! Whether they want to hear it or not!"

Look out for the new album when it hits shelves this October.
