The Wanted Announce New Single 'I Found You'

One of Britain’s, if not the world’s biggest and best pop bands; The Wanted have announced details of their brand new single ‘I Found You’, to be released November 4th. The new track was written and recorded in London and will feature on the new Wanted album scheduled for worldwide release in 2013.

‘I Found You’ is a change of direction for the five piece. The song was produced by Steve Mac (who the band teamed up with for worldwide hit ‘Glad You Came’) and sees the band push themselves like never before. Tom Parker said: “I Found You’ is a song we’re all really proud of. We all had to rise to the occasion and try to do something different, something that really shows off what we’re capable of doing and and we think the song does just that. We’re thrilled with the way this came out and we can’t wait to share it with the world.”

Also recently announced, the band have been nominated for the ‘Best New Artist’ Award at the 2012 MTV Video Music Awards on Friday September 7th, it has also been confirmed they will be presenting an award on the night.

2012 has been an incredibly busy year for The Wanted, ‘Glad You Came’ has gone Triple Platinum in the US, the single hit the Billboard 100 Chart at Number 3 earlier in the year. They have sold out venues all over the world and played some incredible shows, including a secret gig at New York’s JFK airport. They have also played for some incredible people, including US First Lady Michelle Obama. Their sold out UK arena tour in March was also a spectacular success.

Before heading to the US to tour in August 2012 the band took part in Olympic celebrations in London by running with the Olympic Torch and performing at the Torch Relay finale in Hyde Park.
