Tom McRae Announces Solo Tour And Details Of New Album

Acoustic singer-songwriter Tom McRae has today announced details of his first ever European solo tour as well as his latest album.
'From The Lowlands: Alphabet Of Hurricanes Part 2' can be pre-ordered from today here, with either a CD plus free digital download option or as an 'early bird buzzard bundle' which includes various other goodies with a shirt, bag, book and tea towel to go along with your music.
McRae describes his latest and sixth full studio release as 'a sadly beautiful record, a soulful, emotional journey' and it follows 2010's 'The Alphabet Of Hurricanes' which, for me, was his best since the wonderful self titled debut that earned him a Mercury Prize nomination.
A consistently enthralling live performer McRae's latest tour will see him going completely solo around Europe for the first time. Kicking off in Nancy, France on October 1st his European jaunt will take him through France, Belgium and Holland before hitting the UK on October 28th in Colchester. His 12 mainland UK performances finish on November 11th in Oxford before 1 date in Belfast (November 13th) and 3 in Ireland, finishing up on 16th November in Dublin.
Over the past 10 years McRae has carved out a small but loyal following at his live shows with his performances punctuated by his haunting vocals and beautifully melancholic songs mixed with between track humour that always entertains. If you haven't seen him before I would thoroughly recommend making this tour your first.
