Eric Clapton Announces 50th Anniversary May 2013 UK Tour & Tickets

Superstar singer-songwriter-guitarist Eric Clapton has announced a May 2013 UK tour this morning, as he celebrates 50 years as a professional and world-famous musician.
Clapton is one of the most recognisable and highly-lauded guitarists and musicians the UK has ever seen, ranking second in Rolling Stone’s 100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time and becoming the only person to ever be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame three times - as a solo artist, as part of The Yardbirds, and as part of Cream.
Now, Clapton is set to reflect on his super-successful, 50 year career with a 2013 UK tour - which includes a five-date residency at London’s Royal Albert Hall. The trip kicks off in Birmingham’s LG Arena on May 13th, before then taking him to Manchester Arena the following day. He then commences his five-date stint in Royal Albert Hall, which concludes on May 23rd. Tickets go onsale this Friday (September 21st) at 9am, and will cost you £55.00 + fees - you can find your tickets through Stereoboard.
After performing alongside some of the biggest names in the game during his 50 years, he’ll be touring with a talented bunch of musicians including guitar player Doyle Bramhall II, drummer Steve Jordan, pianist and keyboard player Chris Stainton, and bassist Willie Weeks, while Michelle John and Sharon White feature as backing vocalists.
