Hard Rock Hell Prog Launches New Interactive Festival In Association With Prog Magazine

Organisers of the Hard Rock Hell weekender have announced a new weekend boutique festival called HRH PROG which is proudly sponsored by PROG Magazine and takes place at the Magna Science Adventure in Rotherham on April 6th and 7th 2013.

Jonni Davis CEO of Chic Festivals, the company behind all the HRH events, said: "We have always felt that the UK market was missing a dedicated PROG festival and as huge fans of the genre we wanted to put on something that honoured the world of PROG both old and new and that draws from all corners of it and that not only embraces the old but also that celebrates the new. We also felt it needed a special location to house this style of event and the Magna Science Adventure, being a renovated Steel foundry with all its different interactive zones, we felt it to be the perfect setting to stage this new experience.".

First acts to be announced to play next April 6th and 7th are Masters of the Universe Hawkwind who will look to bring a special classic set of their finest Space rock anthems to the weekend.

HRH presents PROG is also proud to announce that The Crazy World of Arthur Brown the god of Hell fire himself and one of the pioneers of Prog and psychedelia will also be in attendance.

Taking things into a more downtempo direction Mostly Autumn will be adding their own special unique blend of ethereal excellence to help us create a rounded weekend for those that want to sample from all areas of things progressive.

Also for those that like things a little bit heavier and louder organisers are pleased to announce winner of the New Blood award at the recent Prog awards TesseracT have also been confirmed. Other newer acts we are also pleased to welcome to HRH PROG who are also confirmed to appear are Enochian Theory , Aeon Zen , Order of Voices and Antlered Man .

Bringing things back to the classic Canterbury’s Caravan fronted by Pye Hastings along with Geoffrey Richardson (Violin/Guitar) and Jan Schelhaas (Ex Camel) will also be adding some of their finest Progressive, psychedelic jazz rock into the mix too and is a rare treat.

Last and by no means least to round off their first announcement organisers are also pleased to announce that Robert John Godfreys British Symphonic Progressive rock act The Enid will also be in attendance at this our first Hard Rock Hell presents Prog event on April 6th and 7th

All at HRH PROG are truly excited about this new project in the truly amazing venue with zones namely, Earth, Steel, Wind, Fire and Water and organisers can’t wait to share this adventure with you. Expect the unexpected with full on trading stalls from the minute you collect your boarding passes through to freaky circuses to the all out HRH sound and production of what promises to be a Progressive monster of a weekender!
