Could it be that Rammstein are to headline Download Festival 2013? According to the band's summer 2013 live schedule listed on Facebook, they are!

Festival news website, www.virtualfestivals.com, have reported that the German industrial metallers have self-confirmed they are playing Download 2013 by listing the festival on their summer live schedule on their Facebook page.

Rammstein have also listed 2013 performances at Nova Rock, Hurricane, Southside, Rock Werchter, Wacken, FortaRock XL, Impact Festival, Rock on Volga, and Greenfield Festival, in addition to appearing at Donington's Download Festival.

A similar error occurred last year when Seattle grunge icons Soundgarden self-confirmed their summer schedule, which included an appearance at this year's Download, ahead of the official announcement by festival organisers.

Rammstein have since removed their summer 2013 live schedule from their Facebook page.

Download are to announce the first headliner of 2013's festival tonight at 6pm. Further details on that here.
