AxeWound Announce 'Exorchrist' Release Date - Plus New Video

Metalcore supergroup AxeWound - consisting of Bullet for My Valentine’s Matt Tuck, Liam Cormier of Cancer Bats, Mike Kingswood of Glamour of the Kill, former Rise to Remain bassist Joe Copcutt, and Pitchshifter’s Jason Bowld - have announced that their brand new single ‘Exorchrist’ will hit shelves October 22nd - and there’s a brand new video to go with it.

AxeWound are set to release their debut album ‘Vultures’ on October 1st via Search And Destroy/RCA. The incredible new record features their hit ‘Cold’ - released last week - and coincides with a UK tour - check below for tickets. Now, the band have announced ‘Exorchrist’ as Cold’s follow up, a track which really sees them bringing the pain.

The Vultures album was recorded in Cardiff at the start of this year, with regular Bullet For My Valentine collaborator Martin ‘Ginge’ Ford engineering the sessions. From the outset, the aim was to work quickly and instinctively - and they did just that, recording 11 songs in 11 frenetic days.

“It was very intense, very demanding but that’s how we wanted it to be,” explained Tuck. “No pre-writing, no rehearsing… just booking a studio and going in and doing a song a day. We wanted to capture something that happened right there and then.”

You can check out the brilliant new video for the single below - as well as the band’s UK tour dates.
