Lewis Watson Announces 'Another Four Sad Songs' EP Release Date

Oxford's up and coming singer-songwriter Lewis Watson has announced that he will be releasing his second EP 'Another Four Sad Songs' on October 22nd.
The 19 year-old singer-songwriter caused a huge stir when his self-released debut EP ‘It’s Got 4 Sad Songs On It Btw’(which was recorded in just three days with his former music teacher Joe Porter) topped the iTunes singer-songwriter chart on the first day of release. Now, Watson will release his second EP, ‘Another Four Sad Songs’, which will be released on download, CD and 10” formats later this month.
Again highlighting his ability as a writer of emotive and intimate songs, ‘Another Four Sad Songs’ features three new self-written songs in the shape of ‘Once Before’, ‘Sink or Swim’ and ‘Even If’, and is completed with his own take on Bombay Bicycle Club’s ‘Lamplight’.
“People are calling my age group the broken generation, yet we’re getting out there, doing what we want and being successful with it,” says Watson, citing other young singer-songwriters such as Gabrielle Aplin, Orla Gartland and Hudson Taylor as examples. “People aren’t going to talent shows; they’re breaking the mould by writing meaningful songs and getting out there through social media. There are two talents at work: creating music and promoting yourself.”
Having recently played his biggest UK show to date at support to Birdy at the O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire, Lewis Watson has also confirmed details of a UK and Ireland headline tour that sold-out in just two days. The tour – listed below – includes two London shows, a homecoming date in Oxford and will be preceded by dates as guest to Lianne La Havas.
