Electronic dance titans The Prodigy have started looking after their own little group of prodigies this week - after they agreed to sponsor a kids football team in Hampshire.
Eastleigh Reds U13's have now officially got the coolest kit in the league now that their turquoise-y shirts have been adorned with the Prodigy logo, and the band have got their electronic music-loving coach to thank for it.
The extraordinary deal came together after Prodigy main man Liam Howlett discovered that the team listened to ‘Warrior’s Dance’ during training and before their games - something which inspired Howlett to make the kind offer.
Speaking to NME, coach Chris Chapman revealed: “I'm blown away that Liam was up for it. The team were stoked and immediately started asking if The Prodigy could come to see them! It's a good match though because the lads are a bunch of football prodigies!”
The kids won’t have long to wait until they have some new Prodigy material to warm-up to - as the band’s sixth album ‘How to Steal a Jet Fighter’ hits shelves early in 2013.
