Lionsex Announce Release Of New Single '(Not) What You Need’ - Listen Now

Tuesday, 16 October 2012 Written by Gemma-Louise Johnson

Just in time for Halloween, Milton Keynes-based glam cats Lionsex have announced an October 22nd release for their new rock n’ raunchy single ‘(Not) What You Need’.

Following the release of their debut album ‘GET IT’ on Universal Music last October, the band has decided to “get back to basics” and “built a studio in the LIONSEX HQ attic, where we have locked away with just themselves, some cat nip and a bunch of instruments.”

After several months of hard working, soul searching since the unfortunate departure of guitarist Jakk Vanity Spence, Lionsex is excited and proud to announce they will also release their as yet untitled, brand spanking new album in November. Produced by the band's primary songwriter and guitarist JJ Lyons, and mixed and mastered by Gary Lloyd, who worked on their debut, the album will feature 13 roarrring new tracks, that are promised to be searrrin’ with rock n roll and a rrreal kick ass vibe.

The album’s leading single ‘(Not) What You Need’, which also premièred as a music video online this week, will be backed up by new bonus track ‘S.O.S’ and unleashed on 22nd October through iTunes and all good online record stores.
