British rockers The Rolling Stones have revealed a setlist that they’ve been using for rehearsals in preparation for their hugely-anticipated November concerts, giving fans an idea of what tracks to expect at the live shows.
While the band have since claimed that the picture does not depict the exact set they will be playing at the November concerts (they say: “We only decide on set lists an hour before the show starts!”), it does strongly suggest what tracks they will be playing, with classics such as ‘Paint it Black’, ‘It’s All Over Now’, and ‘Honky Tonk Woman’ all included.
“You think it’s going to last a couple of years,” Jagged told the paper. “At the time that seemed like a perfectly rational thing to say, why would you think it would go on for any longer? That was about the shelf life of a pop group at that time.
“Obviously at the beginning you didn’t have any inclination, it’s a nightmare idea really that you’d do anything for 50 years at that age. I think Rolling Stones the are kind of quite irreverent about it in a way. I don’t think we take it very seriously and we joke about it really.
“It doesn’t exactly feel like your golden wedding. I think it kind of feels like a bit of a fuck off moment to be honest, and I don’t think we’ve laughed at it enough. I think one of the reasons is that we don’t really believe that amount of time has gone by so quickly, and here we are, still here.”
