French fans at Muse’s world tour-opening gig in Montpellier last night have hailed the ‘insane’ show the band put on - which included tracks from as far back as their 1999 debut album ‘Showbiz’.
Opening their set with new track ‘Unsustainable’, the band worked their way through a medley of tracks new and old - with 'Supremacy', 'Panic Station' and 'Animals’ (all taken from new album ‘The 2nd Law’) all getting a run through.
‘Falling Down’ - the track taken from ‘Showbiz’ - earned them rave reviews and pleased hardcore fans, who wouldn’t have heard the track live since way back in 2000. Fan favourites ‘Hysteria’, ‘Supermassive Black Hole’, and ‘Plug in Baby’ were all performed too.
The show also included a massive unveiling of a tornado and pyramid, a drum and bass solo, a ‘roulette video moment’, an encore - you can check out the full tracklist on the above right. Below you’ll find some tweets, pics and videos from the gig - more than enough to get you excited for the UK leg of the tour!
