Here at Stereoboard, we love to let our readers know about all the brilliant and brand new bands that hit the music scene each year as well as filling you in on what’s going on with the big name artists.
Today we can introduce you to The Struts, a four-piece indie-rock band from Derby consisting of vocalist Luke Spiller, guitarist Adam Slack, bassist Jed Elliott, and drummer Gethin Davies. Formed in 2009, they are a young and very unusually retro band that never define themselves to a specific genre.
With that said, The Struts can best be described as an eclectic mix of music’s most heady influences - from anthemic floor stompers of 60's and 70's Rock n Roll to the heart-melting melodies of soul and catchy hooks of Motown classics (you can check out one of their tracks below and make your own mind up!).
