Following several months on the road with Lady Gaga, The Darkness will make a triumphant return to headline touring with 2013's 'Let Them Eat Cakes' world tour.
The first wave of tour announcement sees the band kicking off the New Year in North America, before venturing back to the UK and Europe in February/March.
The tour announcement follows a teasing message on the band's official Facebook page earlier this week, reading: “Far be it from us to want to find ourselves branded as "teasers", BUT; you can expect news in the next week or so of 'part one' of our 2013 world tour! You're welcome.”
This new tour will see The Darkness supporting latest album 'Hot Cakes', which was released in August through PIAS. Speaking about the record, frontman Justin Hawkins comments: "'Hot Cakes’ has a nice raw feel to it like the first album had, with occasional luxurious moments akin to the second. We're proud of the songs and we can't wait for people to hear them. We've been playing some tracks for the album on tour, each time we play a new song it feels like a deep powerful thrust in a frenzied love ritual between us and our fans."
