Beverly McClellan Cancels UK Tour Dates With Steve Vai Due To Personal Issues

The blues rock powerhouse vocalist Beverly McClellan, American singer and contestant in the US series of The Voice, has cancelled her “Story Of Light Tour” with guitarist, songwriter and produced Steve Vai due to personal issues.

Steve Vai’s personal record company Favored Nations Records, home to the likes of Dweezil Zappa, Eric Johnson and The Yardbirds, have issued the following statements with regards to the recent cancellation, “Beverly McClellan unexpectedly had to leave the Steve Vai European/UK tour to address personal issues at home in Florida. Unfortunately, she will not be returning for the remaining dates on this tour”.

McClellan is signed to Via’s own label, Favoured Nations and is set to release her international debut album “fear Nothing” in the UK and Europe on the 1st December this year. Releasing a special tour edition of the album, the edition will contain three bonus tracks that have never been released, much to the anticipation of fans.

Steve Vai said about the unfortunate cancellation, “"She is perhaps the finest natural talent I have ever worked with and an excellent touring companion. She will be greatly missed and her Vai touring family wish her the best”.

Although Vai will not be accompanied on stage with McClellan he is, however, still set to tour around the UK this coming December.
