Stone Sour Reveal Video For 'Absolute Zero' - Watch Now

Grammy-nominated rockers Stone Sour released the first half of their double album, ‘House of Gold & Bones, Part 1’ through Roadrunner Records on 22nd October 2012. The second part will be released in March 2013. The albums were recorded at Sound Farm Studios, near their native Des Moines, IA with producer David Bottrill (Tool, Muse).
The first two singles, ‘Gone Sovereign’ (watch the video here) and ‘Absolute Zero’ (below) were released as a pair that segue into each other and lyrically, begin the story of the morality play that is the ‘House of Gold & Bones’. Frontman Corey Taylor, himself a bestselling author with last year's ‘Seven Deadly Sins’, wrote the lyrics for the 24 tracks that make up House Of Gold & Bones as a linear storyline, which follow the compelling story of a character of Taylor's making. The story begins for the reader in Part 1 (a story booklet is included in the packaging) and concludes in Part 2. There are also plans for a 4-part comic book/graphic novel series to be released in early 2013 in collaboration with Dark Horse Comics.
Guitarist Josh Rand states: "House of Gold & Bones takes everything that's great about this band and amplifies it. The riffs, the lyrics, the grooves and the songs are like Stone Sour times ten. There's also heavy stuff that's like nothing we've ever done before - it's dark as hell and a complete experience from the first track to the last."
Stone Sour have also confirmed the first leg of a massive global tour to support 'House of Gold & Bones', playing shows on 5 continents so far with many more to come. Included is their first European tour in two years - their first since the hugely successful 'Audio Secrecy' album cycle, which saw the band headline the mammoth Download Festival's Stage 2, and sell-out two nights at Hammersmith Apollo.
