Corey Taylor - frontman of masked American metalheads Slipknot - has claimed that he wants to perform YouTube viral video ‘Psychosocial Baby’ with Canadian superstar Justin Bieber.
The video - a mashup of Slipknot’s ‘Psychosocial’ and Bieber’s ‘Baby’ - has garnered more than 12,000,000 views since it hit the internet last year, and now the unlikely pairing may even perform the tune live if Taylor manages to convince Bieber to join them on stage.
Speaking to Revolver, Taylor said: “I know Justin wasn't responsible for it, but I just thought it was so cool. Everybody thought I'd be pissed about it, but I was blown away... I give him respect. He's a very talented kid and he goes above and beyond for his fans.”
He continued: “I was in Baltimore on my book tour and Justin was nearby in Washington, DC. I tried to get him down to my reading because I wanted to try to do an acoustic version of Psychosocial Baby together. But he was actually visiting children's hospitals. You can't say anything bad about a guy who's visiting children's hospitals.”
While we’re not sure whether everyone who visits children’s hospitals is a good guy, Taylor clearly has a high opinion of Bieber, and it’d be epic to see two opposites of music joining forces on stage for a performance of ‘Psychosocial Baby’.
