Queens of the Stone Age frontman Josh Homme has given fans an update on their up and coming sixth studio album - and has described listening to it as like ‘running in a dream’.
The band’s new album is one of the most highly-anticipated albums of next year, and has seen Foo Fighters star Dave Grohl providing drums for the band for the first time in around 10 years. Speaking to BBC Radio 1 host Zane Lowe, Homme has now given an update on the album’s progress, and what fans can expect to hear when it hits shelves next year.
“I think this record is a little more lyrically vulnerable, but I also think it's sort of musically deeper and richer, and it's a little bit stranger,” Homme told Lowe. “This record basically sounds like you're running in a dream the whole time.”
The album is set for a 2013 release and will most likely be followed by a world tour - stay with Stereoboard to stay up-to-date on the band and their live plans.
