Fleetwood Mac To Release New Music Before World Tour

British-American rock icons Fleetwood Mac have revealed their plans to release some brand new material prior to their 2013 tours.

The long-running band, who’ve sold over 40million records worldwide, have already lined-up some spring 2013 US tour dates, and are expected to unveil some UK gigs soon too. Now, they’ve given fan even more great news - revealing that they will be putting out some brand new material prior to the tour.

The band’s female vocalist Stevie Nicks told Billboard: “Whether or not we're gonna do any more [songs], we don't know because we're so completely bummed out with the state of the music industry and the fact that nobody even wants a full record. Everybody wants two songs, so we're going to give them two songs.”

She continued: “We wanted to have something to put out before we go out, January or February, in whatever way you do that - iTunes or something. And since nobody really cares about albums anymore, if you can come up with two or three great songs and just put them out there...people can at least hear how we sound today when it comes to actually recording.”

Fans can barely contain their excitement ahead of the tours, with Nicks recently revealing their plans - saying: “It will probably be about 50 American shows. We always do 17 shows about in Australia, and we do probably 15 shows in Europe. So it's a big tour, it is a big world tour.”

No official dates have been confirmed yet so if you’re a fan, keep your eyes peeled for some big news in the coming months. Are you excited for the tour? Let us know in the comments section below.
