Christopher Owens Lines Up 2013 UK Gigs In Support Of Debut Solo Record 'Lysandre'

American singer-songwriter and musician Christopher Owens - former frontman of indie-rock outfit Girls - has announced a February 2013 UK tour, as well as a headline gig in London next May.

The star’s debut solo record ‘Lysandre’ hits shelves in January next year, and will be closely followed by four UK tour dates. The tour sees him performing Manchester, Glasgow, Leeds, and Bristol, while he’ll hit London’s Union Chapel on May 29th.

Tickets for all of the gigs go on sale tomorrow (December 14th), and will cost you £12.50 + fees (London £15.00 + fees) - you can find yours through Stereoboard using the dates and links below.

These fresh dates will follow two sold out debut headline shows in London this week at St Giles Church, where the former Girls frontman premiered his brand new album Lysandre from start to finish, and performed with the full band from Lysander's studio recordings.

‘Lysandre’ - written, recorded, and sequenced as a complete narrative - was inspired by the events of Girls’ first ever tour in the summer of 2008. Described by Owens as ‘a coming of age story, a road trip story, a love story’, the album will be released on Turnstile on January 14th 2013.

You can check out ‘Here We Go’ - the first single from the album - below, as well as the details to his UK tour.

Christopher Owens UK & Ireland Tour Dates are as follows:

Mon February 25th 2013 - Deaf Institute, Manchester
Tue February 26th 2013 - Broadcast, Glasgow
Wed February 27th 2013 - Brudenell Social Club, Leeds
Thu February 28th 2013 - Thekla, Bristol
