Lumerians Unveil 'The Bloom' Video - Watch Now

San Francisco space-rockers Lumerians have unveiled the video to their brand new track ‘The Bloom’, which you can check out below.

The American five-piece have returned with brand new EP ‘Horizon Structures’ on Knitting Factory Records, which features new track ‘The Bloom’. Propelled forward by the motorik inspired rhythms, psychedelic squelch, marauding baselines and worldly drone, Horizon Structures is an intense, intoxicating record in the mold of Geoff Barrow’s Beak and Factory Floor.

Opening track ‘The Bloom’ is a long-fused charge of anti-apocalypse rock with evocative lyrics of mystical prophecies - ‘The sun will rise across the sprawl/A mark left on the wall, the weight of time on our remains/Death behind the winds’. If ‘The Bloom’ predicts the future for the human race – then ‘Wintersong’ affirms the inevitability.

The later part of the EP closes with two heavily synth layered dance numbers with ‘Tawazula’ and ‘Laser Barn’. Both highlight Lumerians potency, with a menacing journey of noise and tribal rhythms creating a sensation of astral projection. While the music draws from many sources, it is focused on exploratory visions of other worlds and states of being.

The ‘Bloom’ video uses a nearly forgotten process called Chromadepth and was inspired by the works of filmmaker Kerry Laitala. "We decided to build an entire experience around the Chromadepth glasses with printed artwork and a video presented within an online 4-dimensional viewing portal,” she revealed. “We also liked the look of the artwork without the glasses so the experience isn't limited to viewers with glasses.”
