Harry Styles Nominated For NME's Villain Of The Year, One Direction Up For Worst Act

One Direction star Harry Styles may be a hit with the ladies now that he and his bandmates have found global fame, but not everyone is a fan of the singer - and he’s been nominated for NME’s Villain of the Year award!

Chart-topping pop music misanthropists love to hate on One Direction - and in particular, Styles - but the 18 year-old has some tough opposition for the award, and we doubt he’ll go on to ‘win’ at the ceremony in London on February 27th.

Also in line for Villain of the Year is Tory Prime Minister David Cameron, ‘Gangnam Style’ star Psy, mouthy American rapper Azealia Banks, dubstep ruiner Skrillex, and Fred Macpherson, frontman of Spector.

Styles has also received another bogus nomination for the awards - his group One Direction are up against the likes of Justin Bieber, Alt-J, Muse, Ed Sheeran, and Mumford and Sons for the Worst Act gong.

One Direction previously won the Worst Act award last year, and their debut album ‘Up All Night’ also received a nomination for Worst Album. They were beaten by Justin Bieber’s ‘Under the Mistletoe’ - with Bieber also picking up Villain of the Year last year.

Personally, I’d like to see either David Cameron or Skrillex pick up the Villain award - who would you like to see? Would Harry Styles be a worthy winner? Let us know your thoughts in the comment section below. You’ll also find all of One Direction’s UK tour dates.
