Pop punk outfit Fall Out Boy will reportedly be announcing their return later today, with many sources claiming that they will perform on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on February 13th.
The ‘Sugar, We’re Goin Down’ stars split in 2009, after a hugely successful eight years together which saw them sell over 7.5million albums worldwide, with some records turning multi-platinum.
There has been many a rumour of the band returning to our ears since they split, but today there are strong reports that the band will be making a comeback announcement, as well as lining-up a gig on the Jimmy Kimmel Live! show next week.
Apparently, Chicago alternative radio station Q87.7 (who are known to play Fall Out Boy) will be making a ‘secret major announcement’ at 8am CST (2pm here in the UK), and all of the Fall Out Boy gang are allegedly in Chicago right now, making for some meaty rumours.
The band are also said to be performing a secret gig in New York tomorrow, while 2013 marks the 10th anniversary of their first full-length release ‘Take This to the Grave’ - meaning an anniversary tour could be in sights.
Pete Wentz and co have been denying any reports of a reunion recently, but as we all know, denial never means something isn’t true in the music world. What do you think? Would you like to see the band’s return? Let us know in the comment section below.
