Multi-platinum, Grammy-nominated, Fall Out Boy finally put an end to years of rumours and speculation, with the official announcement earlier this week that the band has returned with their new single 'My Songs Know What You Did in the Dark (Light Em Up)'.
'My Songs Know What You Did in the Dark (Light Em Up)' is the first single from Fall Out Boy’s new album, 'Save Rock And Roll', which will be released globally on May 6th/7th, 2013, the 10th anniversary of Fall Out Boy’s first full length studio album in 2003, 'Take This To Your Grave'. Pre-orders for the album are at www.falloutboyrock.com.
A message on the band’s website reads: “When we were kids the only thing that got us through most days was music. It’s why we started fall out boy in the first place. this isn't a reunion because we never broke up. We needed to plug back in and make some music that matters to us. The future of fall out boy starts now. Save rock and roll...”
In conjunction with the news, Fall Out Boy have also announced a US tour along with a brief visit to the UK for one live show at the end of the month. Expect demand for tickets to be huge! The band have also been confirmed to appear at the Reading and Leeds Festival in August.
