Egyptian Hip Hop Unveil 'Tobago' Video And UK Tour Dates

To coincide with their upcoming UK tour Egyptian Hip Hop will release a re-recorded version of ‘Tobago’, produced by Richard Formby (Wild Beasts, Darkstar etc) on Monday 1st April.

"This is the video for our song Tobago, named after the country of origin of Neville Lawrence AKA SUPERSTAR & STAR, who influenced this song and video more than anything or anyone. From the first incarnation, as a jam, to the final video, we had Neville in mind and, for this, we are thankful to him. He has a light and a vitality often lacking in this grey world. Neville is a superstar and we follow in his footsteps. He will always be pure. For our good friend Neville Lawrence aka Superstar and Star. God bless you. x"

The track, taken from their critically acclaimed debut album 'Good Don't Sleep', will be backed by live favourite ‘The White Falls’, recorded by the band themselves in a Manchester basement in January, and an instrumental taken from the album sessions.

The artwork for each single will be a unique silk-screened print by the band and guitarist Louis Stevenson Miller’s 15-year-old brother Harry.

The UK tour, interspersed with a lengthy trip around Europe, will be the first time many people have had the chance to hear the snaking, labyrinthine melodies and polyrhythmic beat of 'Good Don't Sleep' brought fully to life on stage.

Egyptian Hip Hop 2013 UK Tour Dates are as follows:

Mar 1st - Glasgow Nice n' Sleazy's
Mar 2nd - Ediburgh Electric Circus
Mar 4th - London XOYO
Mar 5th - Bristol Fleece
Mar 6th - Leeds Brudenell Social Club
Mar 8th - Manchester Gorilla
