Rihanna fans that caught sight of The Daily Star’s frontpage today may have worried for their favourite Bajan beauty after reading it’s headline ‘Rihanna Bottled in Street’ - but luckily, it turns out the incident was far less serious than it suggests.
The tabloid paper tells its readers that the singer was left ‘bloodied and battered’ by the ordeal, which took place after London Fashion Week, at which Rihanna had been showcasing her brand new River Island collection (and by the sounds of it, getting super duper high).
But, before any of you breakdown Chris Crocker style, you’ll be happy to learn that Rihanna was actually ‘bottled’ with a plastic Lucozade bottle, by a manfan apparently upset at the fact she’d controversially got back with Chris Brown.
As for being left ‘bloodied and battered’ (check the horrendous photo on the above right - courtesy ofSplash News!), RiRi reportedly fell to the pavement after somehow surviving her Lucozade onslaught, and suffered a tiny graze that not even a 11 year-old boy would be proud of. And the only thing battered was the sausage Rihanna probably picked up from a nearby chippy, as the munchies from her backstage antics at London Fashion Week kick in.
A source told the Daily Record: “From the moment Rihanna arrived earlier on in the evening you could smell marijuana. There was concern it would reek through to the main party, but there wasn’t much they could do. Even fans waiting noticed the smell.”
Luckily, Rihanna is a tough woman and will make it through the pain of receiving a plastic bottle to the leg - meaning she’ll be in top form when her Diamonds stadium tour hits the UK this summer.
