Justin Bieber Fans Left In Tears After Star Arrives Two Hours Late To London Gig

Canadian superstar Justin Bieber may be one of the most innocent young singers in the music scene right now, but he’s managed to anger a whole load of fans - and their mothers - this week, after arriving two hours late to the stage at his gig in London’s O2 Arena last night.

The 19 year-old has been slammed for his Axl Rose-style arrival onto stage, which saw him finally ready to perform at 10:30pm rather than at 8:30pm, which was when he was billed to start.

Normally, this kind of punctuation - or lack of it - would simply result in an echo of booes, and maybe a story in the news afterwards. But, for a star like Bieber - who’s majority of fans are young - it’s seen him bombarded with messages from parents whose sons or daughters were forced to miss trains or leave the concert before he’d even started to perform.

We asked some of our Facebook users if they had witnessed anything at the gig last night - one of our readers, Lorraine Murray, said: ”I was there with my 10 year-old. He was about 45 minutes late. The concert i was told should have finished at 10.50 we left just as he started at about 11.25. The kids were actually booing him during the delay. There were a lot of worried and angry parents. But credit to the o2 staff the did allow some mum's into the actual arena to find their kids. the concert was great and an unexpected performance by Jaden Smith. But an apology would have been nice.”[sic]

Tweets began pouring in about the news, with some saying that they’d seen kids crying on the tube as their parents had made them leave - MTV’s Joanna Dorken wrote:

The Sun’s Jane Moore said:

According to some other reports from fans, it’s not the first time Bieber has arrived late on stage on his current UK tour - Stereoboard user Kelly Askew has said: ”I took my dawter to capital on the 2nd of march to see him and it was the same then he didn't get on til 10 pm people had to miss there trains little kids leavin early it's disgusting.”[sic]

Another, Laura Pinson, wrote: ”He was a hour late at Trent fm arena on Saturday night.[sic]
