Ian Watkins To 'Furiously Deny' All Sex Offence Allegations

Lostprophets star Ian Watkins - previously arrested on a number of child sex offence charges - will reportedly ‘furiously deny’ all of the allegations held against him in court, according to a statement from the singer’s solicitor.

The 35 year-old Welshman was arrested at the end of last year, and has been denied bail upon every request. His case was adjourned and he was set to be held in custody until today - and now, the case has been adjourned again.

Still without bail, Watkins has released a statement via his lawyer which confirms that he won’t be pleading guilty when the time comes.

The statement reads: “Mr Watkins furiously denies all of the charges and allegations made. He intends to fight to the bitter end to clear his name. He wishes to thank the fans, family and friends for the constant love and support they have given and continue to give throughout this testing time.”

The next court hearing will take place in May, so we’ll have to wait until then for further updates on the story. What do you think of the news? Let us know in the comment box below.
