Wireless Festival Offer Friday & Saturday Tickets Buyers Exclusive Pre-Sale

The organisers of Wireless Festival have announced a special pre-sale for those who originally bought Friday and Saturday tickets, which will allow them to buy tickets to the newly-added Sunday bill before anyone else.

It was announced earlier today that Friday and Saturday headliners Justin Timberlake and Jay-Z would be co-headlining the Sunday of the festival, and that a load of acts had been added - with the bill also being shuffled to accommodate the extra day.

But, there has been a bit of a backlash on Wireless’s Facebook page today, where they revealed that fans that had already paid for Friday and Saturday tickets would be given an exclusive chance to buy Sunday tickets first.

They wrote: “Team, when we put Wireless on sale, only 2 days were planned. The demand for tickets when they went on sale was absolutely phenomenal. We received so many calls, emails and tweets from people who missed out that we HAD to get a 3rd day on sale.

“We want to stress that the third day will be a different show to the stand alone shows on Friday and Saturday. It will go on for the same time as the individual shows. We totally understand that those who have already bought tickets will be disappointed however hope that giving you a pre-sale will help.

“We also hope this will give the many people who couldn't get tickets the first time round the chance to come along to Wireless this year. We know some of you will be disappointed however hope you understand.”

While we at Stereoboard agree that with such unprecedented demand, a third day was the best option, many fans have been making it known that they aren’t happy.

One user, Lucy Parker, wrote: “I have spent money on Fri and Sat tickets so I can see Jay Z and Justin and I could've paid for just ONE Sunday ticket!!? Tell me, are you offering refunds to everyone you've pissed off? Absolute joke.”

But, many are also agreeing with the organisers, and are praising the extra day - Jamie Harvison wrote: “Some proper clowns on here bitching and moaning, how is this unfair? It's business.

As outsiders, we can see that most points are valid, and are encouraging those who bought Friday and Saturday tickets to sell their pair via Seatwave or Viagogo if they wish to purchase a Sunday ticket instead - this way, you get your money back (maybe more), buy a new ticket, and make sure your old one is made available to other fans.
