The Staves release a new EP, 'Facing West' on the 29th April 2013 through Atlantic Records. It features two new songs – 'What Good Am I' and a version of Turin Break’s 'Rainy Days'. 'Facing West' is taken from their acclaimed debut album, 'Dead & Born & Grown'.
The three sisters’ songwriting remains as striking as it is exquisite, a melding of still, bright English folk and sublime West Coast pop that, performed live, is capable of plunging an audience into awed silence.
‘Dead & Born & Grown’ is a record that showcases their songwriting and their voices to quietly beautiful effect, but undeniably it’s out on the road that those voices are at the most affecting. Yet as the recent critical acclaim suggests, this album encapsulates exactly where The Staves are at, as they weave themselves through state to state, and county to county.
Following a series of upcoming shows at this year’s SXSW in Austin, Texas, the band head back to tour the UK and Europe this Spring
