Daft Punk Posters Pop Up Across The Globe - Album And Tour Just Around The Corner?

Posters of Daft Punk’s brand new logo have been spotted at locations across the globe, as the campaigning ahead of their next album begins - and there’s some interesting new evidence that suggests the record is already completed and a tour is on the way.

ImageThe minimalistic logo has been transferred onto humongous posters, which have been placed onto buildings and billboards in major cities worldwide. You can check London’s Old Street poster out on the right - New York’s can be seen here, while Miami’s is here. They’ve also been spotted in Austin, Los Angeles, Paris, San Francisco, and Chicago, while a 15 second advert also featured on Saturday Night Live recently. You can check that out below.

So, as what will be their fourth studio album creeps closer and closer, the hype is beginning to reach critical level, and the French house duo are becoming the talk of the town. As usual, there’s speculation all over the shop - and some interesting things have popped up online.

A Daft Punk fan seems to have found that Sony have registered 13 tracks - all with the artist name Daft Punk, and all recorded in 2013. This suggests the album is finished, and will be out soon - you can check it out on this photo, or on the actual website here.

What’s more interesting is that photographer Oliver James L’eroe has updated his website to include a Daft Punk tour in either 2013 or 2014 into his shooting schedule - suggesting that a fresh Daft Punk world tour will follow the album.

And, who knows - Daft Punk could even be lined-up for this summer’s festival circuit. There’s currently a vacant spot in Glastonbury’s list of headliners, while Europe’s dance music festivals would kill for a chance to have the duo perform at their event.

Nothing has been confirmed as of yet, so we can only go on what we’ve found online - stay with Stereoboard and we’ll let you know when some official info surfaces! For now, here’s a cheeky mash-up of Justin Timberlake and Daft Punk!
