Lucy Spraggan Signs Deal With Columbia And Prepares For April UK Headline Tour

Singer-songwriter Lucy Spraggan has signed a recording contract with Columbia Records.
Lucy originally captivated audiences on the X Factor with her self-penned track 'Last Night' which shot up the iTunes chart and now has over 20 million views on YouTube. She was the most Googled music artist of last year in the UK (above One Direction and Psy). Known for her original and heartfelt compositions, Lucy has been busy in the studio working on her album set for release later this year.
On joining the label Lucy said, "I'm really excited to be working with Columbia, it is such a respected label with an incredible heritage. To be signed to the company who have worked with great icons like Johnny Cash, Bob Dylan and Bruce Springsteen and the newer generation of artists like Calvin Harris and Rita Ora is amazing - I can't wait!"
Co-President of Columbia Alison Donald added: “Lucy is a refreshingly honest and naturally gifted storyteller who walks to the beat of her own drum. Her song-writing very much fits in with the tradition and artistry of the Columbia ethos and we are absolutely delighted to have her onboard.”
Lucy will embark on a sold out headline tour of the UK in April, starting in Bristol and including a show at the Borderline in London on April 30th. After an overwhelming demand for tickets, six new dates were added including a second date at the Borderline on May 1st.
