Michael Jackson Family VS AEG Live Case Kicks Off

The trial between AEG Live and the Michael Jackson family - who have filed a wrongful death lawsuit against the concert promoter - has begun in Los Angeles this week, as the Jacksons seek justice for the death of their superstar son, who passed away in 2009.

Last month, we revealed that the Jackson family had filed a lawsuit against AEG Live - the promoters who were behind Michael’s comeback tour, for which he was rehearsing at the time of his death - demanding a massive £26 Billion in compensation, which would cover loss of earnings as well as damages.

And, in a grim case which could go on for several months, it’s been reported by CNN that lawyers representing AEG Live will bring up Michael’s child molestation case - as well as his addiction to drugs - to defend the company.

CNN are currently putting together a documentary about the mega-star's untimely death, and AEG Live lawyer Marvin Putnam features in it - he tells cameras: “Mr. Jackson is a person who was known to doctor shop. He was known to be someone who would tell one doctor one thing and another doctor something else.”

He then goes on to talk about Jackson’s drug addiction - which he believes was fuelled by Michael’s highly-publicised child molestation case - and his general mental state.

We're talking about Michael Jackson,” Putnam states. “This is a man who would show up in pajamas. This is a man who would stop traffic and get out and dance on top of his car. This is a man who would go to public events with a monkey named Bubbles. This is a man who said he slept in an oxygen chamber.”

The case could go on for a long time, and may result in a huge payout for the Jacksons, who believe they have lost out on huge amounts of money following the cancellation of 50 comeback concerts at London's O2 Arena prior to his death.

The concerts are believed to have played a big role in his death, as he was injected with propofol - which eventually led to his death - to help him sleep after growing tired from extensive rehearsing for the gigs. Dr Conrad Murray - who injected the dose of Propofol - is currently in prison.
